This work of art by Henry F. Farny could be acquired at Christies in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection auction, the work Sage-Cock Shooting in Montana (Theodore Roosevelt 'Sage Grouse Shooting') changed hands for USD 200,000.00 (€ 186,375.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry F. Farny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In Pastures New in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,426,500.00 (€ 1,024,858.11).
