This artwork by Helmut Federle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2018. In the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction, the work Legion XXXIII (Secondary Determination) sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,092.13) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helmut Federle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work September 30, 1955, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 88,900.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Helmut Federle erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints wurde die Arbeit Legion XXXIII (Secondary Determination) für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.092,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Helmut Federle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit September 30, 1955 beobachtet, die im November 2016 für EUR 88.900,00 versteigert wurde.
