In the The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints auction, the work Legion XXXIII (Secondary Determination) sold for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,092.13) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helmut Federle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work September 30, 1955, which sold at auction in November 2016 for EUR 88,900.00.
