This artwork by Helmut Federle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2021. In the First Open auction, the work Periphere Abstraktion (Basics On Komposition I) sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,900.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Helmut Federle; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot September 30, 1955 sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of EUR 88,900.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Helmut Federle erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde die Arbeit Periphere Abstraktion (Basics On Komposition I) für USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.900,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Helmut Federle; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit September 30, 1955 im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 88.900,00.
