Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled from the series Metamorphosis through Light by Helmar Lerski. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,110.24). Admittedly, works by Helmar Lerski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five works from Metamorphosis Through Light, Tel Aviv, 1936 in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,870.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled from the series Metamorphosis through Light von Helmar Lerski zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.462,50 (€ 7.110,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Helmar Lerski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Five works from Metamorphosis Through Light, Tel Aviv, 1936 im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.870,82).
