A top price for Helmar Lerski - as previously expected
In April 2019 Christies in New York held the auction The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection, which included the work Five works from Metamorphosis Through Light, Tel Aviv, 1936 by Helmar Lerski. The price achieved of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,870.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Five works from Metamorphosis Through Light, Tel Aviv, 1936 is the most expensive artwork by Helmar Lerski that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im April 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Face of the Century: Photographs from a Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five works from Metamorphosis Through Light, Tel Aviv, 1936 von Helmar Lerski zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.870,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Five works from Metamorphosis Through Light, Tel Aviv, 1936 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Helmar Lerski, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
