Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale, which included the work We Told Grandpa The Dreadful News by Helen Layfield Bradley. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 53,413.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Helen Layfield Bradley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Our First Morning in Blackpool, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 94,100.00 (€ 131,764.35).
