Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work Susan Verney Had A Turned Up Nose by Helen Layfield Bradley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,276.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Helen Layfield Bradley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Our First Morning in Blackpool in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 94,100.00 (€ 131,764.35).
