The work The Playboy Of The Western World by Harry Clarke was worth GBP 27,720.00 (€ 30,565.81) to a buyer in September 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Irish Art, including Property from the Collection of Sir MichaelSmurfit at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Clarke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Mother of Sorrows, Memorial to Sister Superior Mary of Saint Wilfrid, Principal of Dowanhill Training College, Glasgow, 1926, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 65,725.00 (€ 102,926.24).
