The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,720.44), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Harry Clarke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mother of Sorrows, Memorial to Sister Superior Mary of Saint Wilfrid, Principal of Dowanhill Training College, Glasgow, 1926 in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 65,725.00 (€ 102,926.24).

Die Arbeit La Belle Dame Sans Merci von Harry Clarke wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.720,44) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
