Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work How Heavenly Fair by Harry Clarke. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,478.48), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Harry Clarke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Mother of Sorrows, Memorial to Sister Superior Mary of Saint Wilfrid, Principal of Dowanhill Training College, Glasgow, 1926 in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 65,725.00 (€ 102,926.24).
