Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hanson Puthuff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August last year. In the California Art auction, the work (In the Malibu) Sunny Glade sold for USD 17,850.00 (€ 17,734.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hanson Puthuff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snowbound, which sold at auction in June 2002 for USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hanson Puthuff erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit (In the Malibu) Sunny Glade für USD 17.850,00 (€ 17.734,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hanson Puthuff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snowbound beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70) versteigert wurde.
