Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work California hills by Hanson Puthuff. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,562.50 (€ 9,075.16), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hanson Puthuff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snowbound in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit California hills von Hanson Puthuff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 9.075,16) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hanson Puthuff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snowbound im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70).
