Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hanson Puthuff could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in October 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction auction, the work Big Pine beneath the Sierras changed hands for USD 2,295.00 (€ 1,970.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hanson Puthuff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snowbound in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hanson Puthuff konnte im Oktober 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction wechselte die Arbeit Big Pine beneath the Sierras für USD 2.295,00 (€ 1.970,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hanson Puthuff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snowbound im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70).
