Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abandoned Road by Hanson Puthuff was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 3,781.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hanson Puthuff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Snowbound in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 38,240.00 (€ 38,798.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Abandoned Road von Hanson Puthuff kam im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 3.781,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hanson Puthuff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Snowbound im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.240,00 (€ 38.798,70).
