It achieved a price of AUD 19,200.00 (€ 11,288.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Heysen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning Mist in March 2005 with an auction result of AUD 203,150.00 (€ 124,374.35).

Die Arbeit Australian Cattle Under Trees von Hans Heysen wurde im August 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 19.200,00 (€ 11.288,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Heysen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning Mist im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 203.150,00 (€ 124.374,35).
