Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spade form by Hans Coper was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2018. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Coper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cycladic arrow form, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 156,250.00 (€ 176,201.80).

Die Arbeit Spade form von Hans Coper kam im Oktober 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Coper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cycladic arrow form beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 156.250,00 (€ 176.201,80) versteigert wurde.
