A top price for Hannes Schmidt - as previously expected
The work Romantic Brain by Hannes Schmidt was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,559.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Romantic Brain is the most expensive artwork by Hannes Schmidt that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Romantic Brain von Hannes Schmidt wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.559,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Romantic Brain das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hannes Schmidt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
