Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Romantic Brain, 2005 by Hannes Schmidt for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,281.39). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online: NYC at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hannes Schmidt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Meshead, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,559.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Romantic Brain, 2005 von Hannes Schmidt für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.281,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hannes Schmidt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Meshead beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.559,35) versteigert wurde.
