A top price for Hannes Schmidt - as previously expected
The work Meshead by Hannes Schmidt was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The auction ended at the price of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,559.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Meshead is the most expensive artwork by Hannes Schmidt that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Meshead von Hannes Schmidt kam im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.559,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Meshead das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hannes Schmidt, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
