Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled - October 1998 by Hannah Starkey. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,780.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hannah Starkey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,357.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled - October 1998 von Hannah Starkey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.780,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hannah Starkey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.357,41) versteigert wurde.
