Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled - August 1999 by Hannah Starkey for USD 378.00 (€ 326.51). This price was achieved in the auction A Life Among Artists: Contemporary Photographs from an Esteemed Private Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hannah Starkey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,357.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled - August 1999 von Hannah Starkey für USD 378,00 (€ 326,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Life Among Artists: Contemporary Photographs from an Esteemed Private Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hannah Starkey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.357,41).
