Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled, August 1999 by Hannah Starkey. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,111.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hannah Starkey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,357.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, August 1999 von Hannah Starkey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.111,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hannah Starkey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.357,41).
