Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hai Bo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Friendship changed hands for USD 2,188.00 (€ 1,727.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hai Bo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four Seasons in September 2009 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 47,311.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hai Bo konnte im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Friendship für USD 2.188,00 (€ 1.727,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hai Bo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four Seasons im September 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.250,00 (€ 47.311,89).
