Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Swan by Guy Taplin was sold in the British Country Life auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,490.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guy Taplin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twenty Spoonbills in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,886.88).

Die Arbeit Swan von Guy Taplin wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion British Country Life bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.490,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guy Taplin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twenty Spoonbills im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.886,88).
