The work Pintail 60.5cm (24in) long. by Guy Taplin was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July last year. It achieved a price of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,329.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Admittedly, works by Guy Taplin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twenty Spoonbills in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,886.88).

Die Arbeit Pintail 60.5cm (24in) long. von Guy Taplin kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.329,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guy Taplin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twenty Spoonbills im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.886,88).
