The work Twenty Spoonbills by Guy Taplin was sold in the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in November 2000. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,886.88), 65% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Twenty Spoonbills the most expensive artwork by Guy Taplin that we have observed at auctions so far.
