Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British Country Life, which included the work Owl by Guy Taplin. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,646.67) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy Taplin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty Spoonbills in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,886.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British Country Life durch, in der auch die Arbeit Owl von Guy Taplin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.646,67) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guy Taplin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twenty Spoonbills im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.886,88).
