The work Swan 120cm (47 1/4in) long. by Guy Taplin was auctioned at Bonhams in London in April last year. It achieved a price of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,882.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guy Taplin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Twenty Spoonbills, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,886.88).

Die Arbeit Swan 120cm (47 1/4in) long. von Guy Taplin kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.882,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Für andere Arbeiten von Guy Taplin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Twenty Spoonbills beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.886,88) versteigert wurde.
