Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Goose Head II 22cm (8 11/16in) long by Guy Taplin was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 691.20 (€ 800.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy Taplin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Twenty Spoonbills in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,886.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Goose Head II 22cm (8 11/16in) long von Guy Taplin wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 691,20 (€ 800,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guy Taplin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twenty Spoonbills im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.450,00 (€ 26.886,88).
