Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included the work Tabourets Quadrilles (Stools) (Two Works) by Guy de Rougemont. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 90,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,702.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy de Rougemont achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Occasional Nuage Table, Designed In 1972, Realised In 2006 in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 150,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tabourets Quadrilles (Stools) (Two Works) von Guy de Rougemont zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.702,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guy de Rougemont erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Occasional Nuage Table, Designed In 1972, Realised In 2006 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 150.000,00.
