This artwork by Guido Mocafico achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in November 2012. In the Photographies auction, the work Dendroaspis Viridis Ii sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guido Mocafico have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Serpens in November 2014 with an auction result of GBP 92,500.00 (€ 116,298.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guido Mocafico erzielte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographies wurde die Arbeit Dendroaspis Viridis Ii für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guido Mocafico auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Serpens im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 92.500,00 (€ 116.298,04).
