This artwork by Guan Si achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Seclusion Amidst Mountains And Streams sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,656.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Si achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poetic Gathering in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,720,000.00 (€ 555,446.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guan Si erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Seclusion Amidst Mountains And Streams für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.656,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Si erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poetic Gathering im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.720.000,00 (€ 555.446,09).
