Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape by Guan Si. The price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,835.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Si achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poetic Gathering in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,720,000.00 (€ 555,446.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Guan Si zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.835,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Si erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poetic Gathering im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.720.000,00 (€ 555.446,09).
