A top price for Gregory Crewdson - as previously expected
The work The Dream House Portfolio by Gregory Crewdson was sold in the Contemporary Art Day auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2007. The price achieved of USD 169,000.00 (€ 115,059.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Dream House Portfolio is the most expensive artwork by Gregory Crewdson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Dream House Portfolio von Gregory Crewdson wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 169.000,00 (€ 115.059,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Dream House Portfolio das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gregory Crewdson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
