Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oh My Goodness by Grear Patterson was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,290.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Grear Patterson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pants On Fire in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oh My Goodness von Grear Patterson kam im September 2017 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.290,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grear Patterson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pants On Fire im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48).
