This artwork by Grear Patterson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in April 2021. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work Third Base sold for GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,072.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Grear Patterson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pants On Fire in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Grear Patterson erzielte im April 2021 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Third Base für GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.072,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grear Patterson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pants On Fire im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48).
