Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Grace Hartigan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in 6 - in September this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction auction, the work Pastorale sold for USD 2,032.00 (€ 1,919.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grace Hartigan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Early November in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,380,000.00 (€ 1,285,993.85).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Grace Hartigan erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 6 - einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Pastorale für USD 2.032,00 (€ 1.919,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grace Hartigan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Early November im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.380.000,00 (€ 1.285.993,85).
