Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chapeau de Castella by Grace Hartigan was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 25,600.00 (€ 23,469.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grace Hartigan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Early November in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,380,000.00 (€ 1,285,993.85).
