Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Manx Red by Gordon House was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2002. It changed hands for a price of GBP 293.75 (€ 464.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gordon House achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,530.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Manx Red von Gordon House kam im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 293,75 (€ 464,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gordon House erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diagonal Quarter Red Screen, 1960 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.530,21).
