Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eyes Off by Godwin Champs Namuyimba was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May this year. The price achieved of USD 16,510.00 (€ 15,496.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Godwin Champs Namuyimba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Connector in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,323,000.00 (€ 147,104.19).
