This artwork by Godwin Champs Namuyimba achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in December this year. In the A Moroccan Winter auction, the work Back to back (série des astronautes) - 2022 sold for MAD 275,520.00 (€ 25,205.77) - well above the upper estimate of MAD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Godwin Champs Namuyimba have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Connector in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,323,000.00 (€ 147,104.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Godwin Champs Namuyimba erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Moroccan Winter wurde die Arbeit Back to back (série des astronautes) - 2022 für MAD 275.520,00 (€ 25.205,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von MAD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Godwin Champs Namuyimba auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Connector im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.323.000,00 (€ 147.104,19).
