Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Let the sleeping dogs lie by Godwin Champs Namuyimba. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,065.00 (€ 13,898.42), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Godwin Champs Namuyimba achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Connector in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,323,000.00 (€ 147,104.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Let the sleeping dogs lie von Godwin Champs Namuyimba zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.065,00 (€ 13.898,42) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Godwin Champs Namuyimba erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Connector im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.323.000,00 (€ 147.104,19).
