This artwork by Gladys Nilsson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2018. In the Contemporary Art Online: NYC auction, the work Terrarium, 1980 sold for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,008.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gladys Nilsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gladys Nilsson erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC wurde die Arbeit Terrarium, 1980 für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.008,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gladys Nilsson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By a Waterfall ....., 1973 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.775,00 (€ 116.298,68).
