Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Giuseppe Scolari could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples – Old Master, Modern & Contemporary auction, the work Saint George And The Dragon (Davis 43; Dreyer 42; Landau P. 61) changed hands for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,287.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Scolari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint George and the Dragon, which sold at auction in July 2020 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,457.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Scolari konnte im September 2013 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples – Old Master, Modern & Contemporary wechselte die Arbeit Saint George And The Dragon (Davis 43; Dreyer 42; Landau P. 61) für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.287,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Scolari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint George and the Dragon beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.457,10) versteigert wurde.
