This work without title by Giuseppe Penone was sold in the Contemporary Art Online auction at Sothebys in London in May 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,970.00 (€ 13,927.37), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Penone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Giuseppe Penone wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.970,00 (€ 13.927,37) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
