Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Capriccio View With Figures Among Roman Archaeological Ruins, The Temple Of Vesta In Tivoli And The Sarcophagus Of Costanza; A Capriccio View With Figures Beside The Statue Of Marcus Aurelius, Trajan'S Column And The Forum Of Nerva by Giovanni Paolo Panini was sold in the The Road to Rome: Property from a Distinguished Italian Private Collection, Part I auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. The price achieved of USD 466,000.00 (€ 430,206.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Paolo Panini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rome, The Pantheon, A View Of The Interior Towards The Piazza Della Rotonda in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 5,317,000.00 (€ 4,709,477.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Capriccio View With Figures Among Roman Archaeological Ruins, The Temple Of Vesta In Tivoli And The Sarcophagus Of Costanza; A Capriccio View With Figures Beside The Statue Of Marcus Aurelius, Trajan'S Column And The Forum Of Nerva von Giovanni Paolo Panini wurde im Januar 2016 in der Auktion The Road to Rome: Property from a Distinguished Italian Private Collection, Part I bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
