Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Collector, Dealer, Connoisseur: The Vision of Richard L. Feigen, which included the work Noli me tangere by Giovanni Lanfranco. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 100,800.00 (€ 87,257.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Giovanni Lanfranco have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2019 the work Execution of Saint John the Baptist was auctioned for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,508.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Collector, Dealer, Connoisseur: The Vision of Richard L. Feigen durch, in der auch die Arbeit Noli me tangere von Giovanni Lanfranco zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 87.257,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Lanfranco konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2019 die Arbeit Execution of Saint John the Baptist für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.508,91) versteigert.
