In February this year Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included the work Natura morta by Giorgio Morandi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,962,000.00 (€ 2,237,923.60), 31% above the upper estimate. Other works by Giorgio Morandi have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 4,332,500.00 (€ 3,712,510.71) in May 2018 for the work Natura morta.

Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura morta von Giorgio Morandi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.962.000,00 (€ 2.237.923,60) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Giorgio Morandi haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.332.500,00 (€ 3.712.510,71) im Mai 2018 für die Arbeit Natura morta beobachtet.
