Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Jews, Christians, Islam (From: Signs That Say What You Want Them To Say And Not Signs That Say What Someone Else Wants You To Say) by Gillian Wearing was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2014. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,511.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gillian Wearing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait at 17 Years Old (from Album) in May last year with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 58,708.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jews, Christians, Islam (From: Signs That Say What You Want Them To Say And Not Signs That Say What Someone Else Wants You To Say) von Gillian Wearing wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
