Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gillian Carnegie could be acquired at Phillips in London in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Ponoka changed hands for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,145.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gillian Carnegie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prince in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 74,008.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gillian Carnegie konnte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Ponoka für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.145,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gillian Carnegie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prince im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 74.008,77).
